Strategic Vision Implementation
Continuing Our Journey to a Shared Vision
The Diocese of California is in the implementation phase of the Strategic Vision Plan, which was presented during the 2025 Annual Convention. The Strategic Vision Implementation Committee (SVIC) was formed to oversee the implementation process. The SVIC is prayerfully and diligently collaborating with the people and the leaders of the diocese. Realization of the Strategic Vision Plan is expected to take several years.
In 2024, the Executive Council of the Diocese of California established a Strategic Vision Committee (SVC). Their task was to foster long-term planning for adaptive change in response to the challenges and opportunities facing our diocese. The SVC worked collaboratively with Bishop Austin to co-create a strategic vision plan. This work invited the active participation of the wider diocesan community. Together, we joyfully discerned our Strategic Vision. Today, we are beginning to make this vision a reality.
Our Vision:
A growing Church, alive and transformed in Christ, serving a diverse and interconnected Bay Area and wider world.
