Equipping the Beloved Community
Diocese of California Regional Faith Formation Training Events
“All learning begins when our comfortable ideas turn out to be inadequate”.
John Dewey
“...the end is reconciliation, the end is redemption, the end is the creation of the beloved community.”
Dr. Martin Luther King
Join companions in ministry from around the Diocese of California as we learn together how to live into the vision for Christian community articulated by Dr. Martin Luther King and affirmed by our diocese in the 2007 "Building the Beloved Community" visioning process. EtBC training events offer regular opportunities to acquire or renew skills for basic parish ministries, as well as learn cutting-edge skills for evangelism, congregational development, and area ministry. These training events are hosted at various locations; guidelines for host parishes are available here. Individuals and ministry teams from anywhere in the diocese are welcome to attend events in their own neighborhood or further afield; EtBC events currently open for registration are highlighted below.
