Supply Clergy Information

If you need a priest to cover one or two Sundays while you are on vacation, or when you need a priest to fill in due to unexpected circumstances, please email Denise Obando, deniseo@diocal.org, to receive the current supply clergy list.

If you need a priest for a long-term assignment, during a sabbatical or during a disability, please contact Denise first to discuss the particulars.

The diocese has recommended rates for short-term supply clergy:

Two Sunday services with sermons — $341
One Sunday service with sermon — $282

Two services without sermons — $187
One service without sermon — $145

Travel expenses are negotiable following the current IRS rate.

Always make sure you have a verbal agreement of the stipend amount and that there is a clear understanding of the duties to be completed.
