Episcopal Impact Fund

Creating Pathways Out of Poverty

For nearly 50 years, Episcopal Impact Fund, formerly Episcopal Charities, has supported community-based poverty relief in the Diocese of California. Today, they focus on housing security as a cornerstone for breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty in the Bay Area.

By uniting the generosity of supporters with the expertise of nonprofits and congregations, Episcopal Impact Fund expands access to dignified housing and creates pathways out of poverty for families, youth, and young adults. Their work includes grant making, advocacy, volunteer initiatives, and faith-based affordable housing development — all aimed at building a Bay Area where every person can thrive.

In 2024 alone, Episcopal Impact Fund granted more than $900,000 to over 50 organizations — touching the lives of 100,000+ neighbors.

Grounded in Episcopal values, they are committed to taking faith beyond the pews and into the streets, walking alongside neighbors to create a more just and compassionate community.
