Episcopal Community Services: San Francisco

Providing Essential Services to Individuals and Families Experiencing Homelessness

Episcopal Community Services (ECS) has provided essential services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in San Francisco since 1983, utilizing a holistic approach that addresses the multiple causes leading to homelessness. This past year, we served more than 13,000 people across four counties in the San Francisco Bay Area, guided by our mission to help homeless and very low-income people every day and every night obtain the housing, jobs, shelter, and essential services each person needs to prevent and end homelessness. In addition to housing, ECS offers workforce development through the CHEFS and REACH programs.

ECS remains strong and committed to our mission of ending homelessness. We will always be fierce advocates for people who are most vulnerable in our community. We must come together to ensure their voices are heard and the policies we know to be effective are enacted. Our work is only possible because of our committed community of board members, donors, philanthropic community, and government partners.
