Bayview Mission
A Welcoming Community and Safe Haven for All Generations in Bayview Hunters Point
Bayview Mission, a special mission of the Diocese, provides much-needed services, food and supplies to residents of the Bayview and Hunters Point neighborhoods. The Bayview Mission was established by the Ven. Canon Nina Pickerrell in a house once owned by her grandfather. Bayview Mission has adapted throughout this unprecedented and challenging time in our world and continues to serve our local community with love and dedication.
Today the Bayview Mission serves as a gathering and distribution point for clothing and hygiene supplies for eight agencies. This past year it served more than 2,700 residents, including children, families, seniors, veterans and transitional neighbors. It provides supplies for a women’s shelter, diapers and wipes for foster children, and monthly support for neighborhood families with infants and toddlers. You are encouraged to learn more about this neighborhood organization and the life-changing work it does.
