Please join us for thethe annual campus ministry celebration of Candlemas. We hold this feast as the giving of blessed candles is a reminder of our mission to UC Berkeley and the motto “Let there be light.” We especially like to welcome our friends and supporters to this event for a choral service.Following the service there will be food and a presentation by chaplain Tom Poynor. 2023 marks several dates important to the circle of English writers known as the Inklings, including the 130th anniversary of the birth of Dorothy Sayers, the 125th anniversary of the birth of C.S. Lewis and the 60th anniversary of his death, and the 50th anniversary of the death of J.R.R. Tolkien. In recognition of this, Tom will highlight the theme of recognition in some of the works of these authors.
